Q. I know that wasn't the result you were looking for obviously in the championship match, but it feels like you have a lot of great things to take away from this week.
CAMERON YOUNG: Yeah. I think I probably shot about 35 under par for the seven rounds. Obviously, frustrating to lose today, but I definitely played a lot of good golf and I think my game's in a really good spot for the next few weeks.
Q. You only lost in that championship match. As you look back on the week, what are your takeaways?
CAMERON YOUNG: I think I played a bunch of really good golf. I didn't quite have my best this afternoon and obviously Sam started making some putts, so that got away from me pretty quick. But I played some really good golf and I think my game's in a really nice place moving toward the Masters and Hilton Head.
Q. Can you pinpoint what maybe you didn't have in the afternoon compared to the morning?
CAMERON YOUNG: I just didn't make much, honestly, until the last couple holes against Rory this morning. I feel like I haven't really made anything since probably the beginning of the match with Kurt yesterday afternoon. So I just didn't quite have 'em going in, and out here you have to make a bunch of birdies, and I just didn't quite do it.
Q. We talked a little bit about this earlier in the week and the fact that you and Paul, your first tournament together. Given how well you guys worked together, how quickly you guys meshed, what does that do for your optimism moving forward?
CAMERON YOUNG: I think it's going to be a great move for me. He's obviously a guy that's held in the highest respects by just about any player or caddie you run into. I have all the respect in the world for him and I think it's going to be just a new level for me hopefully.
Q. A gauntlet of a week. Five days of match play. Not the result that you wanted. What will you take away from this week and this day?
CAMERON YOUNG: All I can take away is that I played really well. Just thankful to get myself all the way here. I feel like I had a bunch of really tough opponents and just ran into Sam Burns playing really well today. We all know he's one of the best players in the world, and when he's on top of it, he might be the best player in the world. Today he was against me. It was a lot of fun. I enjoyed it. I'm playing really well, so I'm just looking forward to the next few weeks.
Q. What was the challenge of maintaining your energy over a week like this?
CAMERON YOUNG: It is a big challenge. I'm kind of a steady guy emotionally out there. It was great having Paul out there. He's got a ton of energy, and it kept us going really until the end. Obviously, when that one goes in the water there, you kind of know it's over. But I think I played really nicely. I have nothing bad to say about the week.
