Q. So far this week is it more stressful or more fun would you say through 54 holes?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: I mean it's fun to be in done tension but it is a little bit more stressful when you don't feel super comfortable over the ball. But, man, it's fun to see some putts go in and still see the ball end up close to the hole and put some good scores up there.
Q. How do you feel about your play today compared to the first two days?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: I'm happy with the score. There's a lot of good. Still a lot of feels like saving a lot of shots, but they're going fairly straight, so it's okay. They're all in play and when I got out of position I think I solved the problems pretty well.
Q. What would you say in terms of if you just look at the results, three missed cuts, co-lead through 54 holes. How do you explain that?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: It's golf, it's a crazy game. I do think for just this type of golf course really fits me right now. It's not like you have to bomb the drivers everywhere, it's more of a positioning golf course. I do feel like I can hit some nice iron shots that end up close to the hole, because my even though I haven't been swinging it all that great my stats with the irons have been pretty decent the last few weeks. So at a golf course like this I still feel like I can give myself a lot of looks for birdie.
Q. Is there a feel or a swing thought that you've been leaning into at all this week?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, I've had -- yeah, there's one thing that I've been working on and it's help ago little bit, I just wish it was, I just wish it would fix me over night, but that's not where we're at.
Q. What are you going to work on on the range?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Just going to continue that feel and hopefully see a little bit more progress and we can, yeah, just clean it up a little bit for tomorrow.
Q. What was the highlight of your day today?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Highlight of the day? The 7-iron I hit on 8 was pretty nice. Short little birdie putt there. Yeah, just overall how consistent it was the first kind of 12 holes I would say, 12, 13 holes, it was very consistent. I wasn't really in danger of making a bogey.
Q. How were the greens this afternoon?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: They're getting toasty. They're getting, there's less and less grass out there and they're getting pretty slick.
Q. Do you expect that tomorrow?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Probably, if the weather sustains this, then it's going to be just firmer and crispy year, so that's good, that's what I expect this place to be.
Q. You were sort of a late commit, the process to decide to play and I assume you're happy with that decision at this point.
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, I've done a few of those lately. Yeah, no, it's nice. Obviously it wasn't feeling great before this week, but you just never know. You find a feel and you start making some putts and before you know it you got a chance to win tomorrow. So that's cool.
