Q. Great playing. Tied for second going into the third round. If we could just get an opening comment on your round.
JIM KNOUS: Hit it well, played well out there, kept it out of the long, nasty rough. Happy with how I'm playing. 67 two days in a row. Super excited about that. Ready for a good weekend.
Q. How do you feel the course fits your eye so far? Obviously a course that hasn't hosted this tournament since 2010, how are you liking it so far?
JIM KNOUS: Yeah, I love this setup of the course. The three par-5s, 9, 11 and 15, they kind of wind through the hills and it's just really a beautiful golf course.
So far I've been keeping it out of the rough, like I said, which is paramount here. I had to chip out a couple times because it's so nasty. But yeah, just like the overall feel of the golf course, the look of the golf course. The people here obviously are incredible. Kind of feeding off their energy. Just love the area, really.
Q. You hear a lot of guys like Wyndham Clark, for example, in the lead, he says if you just look at the results maybe you wouldn't have seen a round like this coming, but personally he felt like he had been playing better than the results showed. Did you feel a couple of rounds like this coming for yourself coming into the week?
JIM KNOUS: Yeah, no doubt. I've told everybody that my game is right there, it's right real close to a breakthrough. I just keep -- the analogy I've been using, the metaphor I've been using is I'm loading the dam one bucket at a time and it's going to break soon.
I feel like I've been playing really good golf. Obviously a lot of missed cuts coming in, but I'm right there. Been missing a lot of cuts by one and stuff like that. Once everything clicks I knew we would be contend, I knew we would be up there on the leaderboard. So it's not a surprise that I'm playing like this, but it's obviously great to be in this position.
