Q. That was a fight. All of a sudden a huge lead evaporates, but you're not going to let it go. Well done.
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Thank you. No, it was difficult. At the turn there I missed a couple of chances. I was rolling it unbelievable all week. Honestly, I didn't seem to miss any putts and at 9 and 10, I was like, these are getting buried. I missed 'em and I was like, that's fine. And then I started getting heckled a bit from the crowd, and I rolled that putt in on 11, I think I let my emotion go a bit too much, and I kind of lost the focus, but it was one that I was just -- I was getting back at the guys that were heckling me for a few holes.
No, I was in a dog fight there. Obviously, Ben made it difficult coming in the stretch. He played well. It's just incredible to do this with my dad on the bag and have my girlfriend here and I'm sure there's a party going on back home in Oban.
Q. A hundred percent. So special to do it with your father on your golf bag. I mean, that is so cool, so unique. At the end of the day, coming down the stretch when it got tight, big fight, man, you man up. Huge key tee shots 14, 15, 18, keeping it in the short grass on those holes must have been huge for you.
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Yeah, I always believe I'm, when I need to, I've always got little thoughts. I messaged my coach this morning and I go, Be on speed dial, because yesterday it wasn't pretty. On the front nine I didn't really have my best stuff. He gave me what he thought before I went out. From what he watched on the TV, he thought I was getting a little bit quick. I think he was right. Look, it's been a hell of a ride and this has been, the mental side of the game pulled me through today. It was like, I could see my dad getting a little bit edgy at times, and he kept saying, Keep going, keep going. And I was just, I was full focused one step at a time, and I managed to birdie 15 and I didn't react, I just, head down and keep fighting, because you never know what's going to happen. And, yeah, just incredible feeling.
Q. Bob MacIntyre, Ryder Cupper, Bob MacIntyre DP World Tour winner, multiple winner, and now Bob MacIntyre PGA TOUR winner, how does that sound?
ROBERT MacINTYRE: Goose bumps. It's incredible. It's a dream of mine to play golf for a living. It's been a dream of mine to win on the PGA TOUR, when I got my PGA TOUR card, and I just can't believe I done it with my dad on the bag. The guy's taught me the way I play golf. I mean, I don't, I never make it easy, and he said that, when I was 16 or 17, he's going, You never make this easy. And that's the way I play golf, I play it with the heart on the sleeve, and we got a hell of a fight in the two of us and I just can't believe that I've won on the PGA TOUR, to be honest.
