Q. Out of everything with your day what were you most pleased with?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I felt like I gave myself more looks today than I had yesterday, especially on the back nine. Keep doing that over the course of the next couple days I think I'll be in a decent spot.
Q. You talk about patience out here and not trying to overdo things on this golf course. As this golf course got firmer and the wind picked up how do you pick your spots?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Definitely got a little bit firmer. I think it's kind of an interesting course in a sense of it's a long golf course, the greens are quite big. So you can be on some of the greens and be pretty far away from the pins. It can be tough when it gets windy because how much do you want to bite off when the greens are fairly wide and then the pin is tucked against one side. It's kind of a choose-your-spots type of place I would say. I felt like today I did a pretty good job of staying patient, hitting to the right spots and gave myself some looks.
Q. How do you see this golf course changing and what do you need for the weekend?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I think it's going to be windier tomorrow, so should continue to firm up and get more challenging.
Q. You said your game wasn't as sharp as you wanted yesterday. Did you feel it was a little more sharp today?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, definitely the only hole I can really think I struggled for par on was maybe the 17th hole. Outside of that I gave myself a lot of looks. If I hole a few more of those it's a little bit of a different day. So some good stuff overall.
Q. Do you think you hit your irons a little better, the approach game was a little tighter today?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Definitely gave myself some more looks, but I don't know if it was the driving or iron play. I don't know if I had more opportunities, but I felt like I'm hitting it solid. I felt like I struck it well both days.
Q. You're seven back now, do you have a number in mind of how close you need to get to Cameron to have a shot on Sunday?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I definitely need to not get further away. No, it depends on how the golf course is playing. All I can do is go out there and be committed to what I need to do and that's pretty much it.
Q. Do you ever get used to this, the fans chanting your name, and what does it mean to you?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: It's a lot of fun to be able to play in front of fans, being able to play in front of crowds like this week in week out is great, and I love being able to have their support and it's a lot of fun.
