Q. Wanted to start off by talking about your round today. To get a bogey-free 6-under round in these windy conditions, it's probably only getting windier. Can you talk about how it feels?
ADAM SCOTT: Yeah, I mean it was windy earlier today, but still being off early was an advantage probably. So, nice to take advantage of that and bogey-free around this course is really a good round. So luckily there was six birdies to go along with it and it's a good looking score. It's going to be a little tougher out there this afternoon, for sure, judging the wind. But happy to put a good round on the board and I feel like I've been playing with better than my scores the first two days, and kind of reassured myself I am today.
Q. As someone who not only got to play here before but was also a champion here, can you talk about some of the preconceived notions or expectations you had coming in, and then of course three days later, how has that changed?
ADAM SCOTT: Yeah, I think it plays very similar to how we left it 10 years ago. It's a fine line between a really good round and a disaster out there. There's so much water, and with the few tee boxes they have added since we were here, it's just stretched it out to where whatever distance advantage we might have gained in the last 10 years, it's negated, and so important to hit the fairway here. But the holes are so long you feel like you have to challenge it up there with driver, but it's tricky. So good ball striking goes a long way and takes a lot of stress out of playing this golf course.
Q. You also talk about taking your sort of taking your lumps out here, but you also had to overcome kind of a different wrinkle on Thursday with the ball penalty. Can you talk about Howell you rebound from that and then have subsequently had such a steady round yesterday and then today?
ADAM SCOTT: Yeah, I mean, it's such a silly thing to do. I think it's the first time I've ever done it in my career. That's probably one of those things everyone ends up doing once. But an odd set of circumstances leading up to me not checking it, which I think I've done thousands of times. To take two lumps there was, is tough, especially as you sit here now in the weekend and thinking if you're two better you would be doing so well in the tournament. But golf can be cruel at times, and I've experienced plenty of other tough things on the course, and you just have to get on with it and do the best you can. Luckily, it was like on the 8th hole and I had the rest of the day to try and salvage something out of it.
Q. Lastly, I've heard some other players talking about what a difference a decade makes. Jordan was talking about 10 years ago it was a whole different life, a different time. How about for you coming back to being here this decade later?
ADAM SCOTT: Well, of course, yeah, lots has changed in my life over the last 10 years. But, you know, I think my daughter was maybe one at the time and now I have three kids and a lot's gone on away from the golf course. A lot's gone on at the golf course too. It's been a decade of like constantly trying to figure out the game all the time. I'm happy to be out here doing it still. It's nice to be back at Doral.
