GRANOLLERS-ZEBALLOS/Johnson-Krajicek
7-6, 7-6
THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.
Q. Well done, guys. You became the first doubles team since 2003 to win the title in Cincinnati without dropping a set. What was the key behind the week and the success?
HORACIO ZEBALLOS: Yeah, I think we are playing great tennis. We are very confident, trying to do our best. Practicing every day what can we improve.
I think that is the key actually. That is the key, to work hard and try to be aggressive when you play, and we are doing that stuff and we play really good, yeah.
Q. There were tight moments in both sets, the tiebreaks, very close. How important was the experience you guys have as a team today and just getting over the line in both of those sets when they were 50/50 almost?
MARCEL GRANOLLERS: Well, yeah, I think the second-set tiebreak, yes, was 50/50. The first set they were up like 3-0, two mini breaks. Was very important to stay positive there, try to win one point there on 3-Love.
We did it. Yeah, at the end of the first tiebreak we put a lot of balls in, we play our best tennis there. Yeah, finally we win that set. It was really important for us.
Then we break early in the second set, but they broke us back. But, yeah, we were focused all the time. We knew that we were playing good tennis. Yeah, we fight until the end of the match.
