I. SWIATEK/B. Pera
6-0, 6-2
Q. Pretty quick. You must be absolutely thrilled with the way you played tonight.
IGA SWIATEK: Yes, for sure it was a solid match. Especially coming from Madrid, I wanted to feel how it is on the center court.
It's nice that I was able to play pretty early, the rain didn't make it so big delay as last year. I'm happy I got my first win and I can play another match.
Q. She came back strongly at the end. Six breaks in total tonight. Is that the biggest facet of the game?
IGA SWIATEK: I think I would say at the end I felt like she's playing like she has nothing to lose. I wanted to still to do my job and stick to my tactics. At the end I did that.
Overall I'm happy with the match.
Q. A day off from matches tomorrow. What is the plan on a non-match day normally for you? Will you try to squeeze a practice session in or complete rest?
IGA SWIATEK: Usually we are practicing. I got to talk to my coach. He's the one who's deciding what we're doing. If I would plan everything, it would be a disaster. It's good that I have people for that.
We'll talk after the match and we'll see.
