A. de MINAUR/H. Dellien
6-4, 6-4
Q. (Question about pressure and criticism.)
ALEX de MINAUR: Yeah, there's always a little bit of that. Probably wouldn't be getting so much criticism if instead of fourth rounds, making quarters, semis or finals. That for me is the goal obviously.
I'm very happy with the consistency that I showed just coming out and competing every single week. But ultimately the goal is for more, to push for bigger and better things. That's what I'm doing each and every week, giving myself a chance to do that. Hopefully I can take my opportunities.
Q. The fans coming out on the court, quite crazy. Far from Sydney. But does that feel surreal to you to have that much love in a different part of the world?
ALEX de MINAUR: Yeah, it's always been a bit of a love affair with Italy and the Italian crowd. I get a whole lot of fans here. It makes my time here always a lot of fun playing. I get some incredible support.
I spend a lot of my off time on holidays here in Italy. It's a place very close to my heart.
Q. (Question about next match with Tommy Paul.)
ALEX de MINAUR: Yeah, again every time we play each other, it's a completely new match. Different stages of our careers. I think we're both a lot better than the last time that we played each other. It's going to be a battle.
He's obviously playing well. He had a very tough win today against Machac. I'm looked forward to the battle. We're similar players. We both are great athletes. It should be a physical match out there.
