J. PAOLINI/D. Shnaider
6-7, 6-4, 6-2
THE MODERATOR: Jasmine, that was a pretty up-and-down match. How were you able to get through that one?
JASMINE PAOLINI: Yeah, it was really tough match. I'm really happy that I get through.
But was a roller coaster. Was tough. I fought until the end. The crowd, of course, helped me. So I'm really happy with the win.
Yeah, was a really emotional one.
THE MODERATOR: Questions.
Q. A question not about the match. Coming up is going to be the 15-year anniversary of Francesca Schiavone winning Roland Garros. Do you have any memories of watching that match?
JASMINE PAOLINI: Yeah, I remember that. I was in the tennis club. Yeah, I remember also her outfit (smiling). Was amazing to watch the scenes. I was getting emotion even if I was young. Was unbelievable tournament, great memories. Yeah, I think it help a lot.
But all the generation of the players before us was unbelievable. They really inspire us, I think.
Q. The rain delay, talking with your team, what are your thoughts there and how were you able to turn it around after the rain?
JASMINE PAOLINI: Was really tough to turn around that match. I was trying to stay there to try to refocus, to rebuild the game because I was a little bit confused even with the tactic. Started to be more focus on the game.
Point by point, point after point, I found a way. But was a really tough one, yeah.
