Press Conference

L. MUSETTI/C. Ruud

4-6, 6-4, 6-4

THE MODERATOR: Congratulations. Can you please tell us what happened during the match and how you managed to win this one.

LORENZO MUSETTI: Yeah, I mean, was a really nice match. I started a bit with a rush, but Casper was playing good. He played good all the match, so it was definitely one of my biggest win in my career. I'm really proud of myself today.

THE MODERATOR: Questions in English.

Q. It seems that sometimes you need a lot of temperament on the court to get your best tennis, but also sometimes you need to be cold as ice. Can you talk a bit about how to manage the good fire and the cold ice and when to use what and how to...

LORENZO MUSETTI: Yeah, I mean, depends -- I mean, I like, let's say, the paraphrase, because it's true. Because like in the last game I was so cold, like, really, as you said, like ice, and was the key to achieve the win.

For example, in the second set, I started to become more, let's say, noisy with the voice, especially when I was winning great points.

I think when I'm down, when I try to don't give up, I'm trying to use my voice as a help. When I have the situation under control, I try to be cold, really focused on what I have to do.
