J. SINNER/D. Medvedev
6-3, 6-4
THE MODERATOR: Well done, Jannik. Just a quick look back at the week and winning the Ilie Nastase Group without losing a set. How happy are you with your performance thus far?
JANNIK SINNER: I'm happy with the performance. The first match. As I was saying, these tournaments are very important. Happy how I ended the group stage. Now it's semifinals on Saturday, so I'm happy to be again in the position.
Let's see what's coming.
THE MODERATOR: Questions.
Q. Does it feel any different this year compared to last year, considering what you have achieved in 2024?
JANNIK SINNER: Yeah, of course. I mean, it's always a different feeling. It doesn't really matter how you arrive to a tournament or not. It's nice to be again in the semis here.
It's different year, different player. Like everyone else, we try. I believe all of us, we have improved a lot in one year.
It's nice to be again in this positions where I can play again for a final's spot. Then we see how it goes.
Q. I hope you don't mind me asking this. The Switzerland Court of Arbitration for Sport is expected to make a ruling, final ruling, on your case early next year. Does it stress you out in any way or do you not think about it at all?
JANNIK SINNER: No, I have been in this position three times already. Three times we had the hearing. Three times came to my way, which is positive.
Of course, it's not a position where I like to be in. But, you know, I'm going to work together with everyone, like I did before, then we see what comes out.
I'm very positive of how it's going to be.
