C. ALCARAZ/H. Rune
4-3, 4-2, 4-0
Q. The warmup was just one minute, what did you make of that?
CARLOS ALCARAZ: The warmup? One minute of warmup? I mean, it's so fast, you know, just to play some forehand, backhand and serve. I mean, you have to warm up before the match, go to a court just to warm up. Yeah, I think we have to have more minutes of warmup, but it's okay, you have to play with that.
Q. You had the on-court coaching aspect allowed today. How did you find that feature?
CARLOS ALCARAZ: Sorry?
Q. You were allowed to do the on-court coaching today, the court-side coaching, it's a bit different. How did you find that?
CARLOS ALCARAZ: I mean, it's good, no? It's good to have a little coaching with your coach, but, I mean, he can give you some tips on court that you don't realize because you are playing and, yeah, I think it's good.
Q. Please tell us about your work with Juan Ferrero. What did he teach you, what advice from the coach did you apply on the court today?
CARLOS ALCARAZ: Yeah, just today? I mean, when you're playing the match you don't realize a lot of things and outside the court you realize the things better. Yeah, I mean, some returns, some balls that I missed he can tell me how to do better and, yeah, I think he did it. He told me how to return better or how to hit the ball when I missed the balls.
Q. There is no ATP point at this event. So is it, does it make things easier to have fun on the court?
CARLOS ALCARAZ: Can you repeat, please?
Q. There is no ATP point in this tournament, so does it make all the things easier and do you have, is it easy to have more fun on the court?
CARLOS ALCARAZ: I mean, I know that it is not the ATP point, but I just play like we are playing with ATP point, you know, just learning and keep growing up and just trying to play my game and, yeah, keep growing.
Q. Do you find that with that format of score it was even harder to face today Rune?
CARLOS ALCARAZ: I didn't hear you well.
Q. Did you feel like that playing Rune with this format was even harder because for him it was easier to keep the intensity high?
CARLOS ALCARAZ: I mean, against every player it's harder for me to play in this format. You have to be very, very focused all the time. I mean, if you don't focus in a game with yourself, you are in the back. I mean, it's so hard to play in this format, the four games is pretty close and, yeah, for me it's hard to play in this format.
