L. MUSETTI/H. Gaston
4-3, 4-3, 2-4, 3-4, 4-2
Q. The past couple of days you've played quite a lot of tiebreaks with the different format. How much have you enjoyed that having more tiebreaks and all the pressure and how fun has that been?
LORENZO MUSETTI: Yeah, I mean today, I mean tonight it was really fun playing against Hugo, because we are close friends from juniors. And, yeah, I won two tiebreak, two first sets, really tough tiebreaks, really tough sets. We didn't break each other, we saved break points, and I think we played really great battle until the end and it was really, really close.
After the two sets, he was starting to play really better and he saved like two or three match points and was really frustrating for me. But then I stayed focused and I got the chance to beat him.
Q. You've done quite well in tiebreaks this year overall, what's the key for you in those moments? What's most important?
LORENZO MUSETTI: I think focusing like on each point, because on tiebreak each point you have to be patient and be focused on each point I think more than in a game or in a set.
So the key I think is to focusing on playing each point like it's the last one.
Q. Here in Milan the fans are allowed to move a little bit more freely during the match in the stands, there's a bit more of a buzz with that. How nice has that been for you and how have you found the atmosphere here in general?
LORENZO MUSETTI: Yeah, this rule I think it's a good rule because when we are playing we don't notice too much the people is moving and, I mean, it's not disturbing for us. I think I have the crowd by my side and I hope tomorrow it's going to be a full crowd and I want the participation of the crowd like tonight. It was really fun, I was really happy to play in front of my Italian crowd. So I will try my best tomorrow and I will enjoy for sure the show.
Q. After the match when you sort of fell onto the court there, what was it like looking around and seeing everyone jumping and screaming for you in your home country? What were the emotions?
LORENZO MUSETTI: Yeah, I mean, I lay down because I was really tired and, I mean, we played a really long match with these rules and I think the longest one in this year. I think it was really tough also physically because we ran a lot, we had some really, really long and great rallies.
At the end I was, you know, I was like really empty and I had a hole in my stomach that finally it went away and I laid down just to rest and to enjoy the moment.
