THE MODERATOR: How was it out there? You didn't play last year when the Finals were here. How did it feel with this crazy atmosphere?
MATTEO BERRETTINI: It felt amazing. Yeah, I'm really happy that I had the chance to do it. Last year was tough to miss the Finals, obviously. Then the Davis Cup in Turin. Obviously I wanted to bring the point, but mostly I wanted to enjoy every single point out there.
Yeah, unbelievable atmosphere. I felt the support. I had to miss also Rome this year, so I missed the Italian crowd. I'm so happy I brought the win as well.
THE MODERATOR: What was the key for your comeback against Coric?
MATTEO BERRETTINI: I think since 4-1 in the first set, I was playing better than him. Unfortunately I played a bad breaker. Yeah, my level was getting higher and higher the more I was playing. I just told myself to be in the game, to be there, to be focused. My game was coming.
Yeah, I fought through those moments. I think I just had to be patient because I had to wait a little bit that my level was getting higher. Just had to be patient. Sometimes it's not easy, especially when you're playing for your whole country.
