THE MODERATOR: We'll start with questions for Tommy.
Q. You seem to have a really good relationship with Struff. Can you talk about that.
TOMAS ETCHEVERRY: Yeah, he's a great guy. Of course, I share a lot with him in the past. He's a nice person. Yeah, I'm super happy to play with him in this atmosphere in the Davis Cup. It's something special.
Yeah, he's a great guy, for sure.
Q. How did you get out of that match? It was so tight all the way. There was the chance of you even going down the double break in the first set.
TOMAS ETCHEVERRY: Yeah, it was tough at beginning of the match. He was playing, like, so aggressive, a lot of rhythm. He won the last week in the challenger, so I expect that.
After the first break in the first set, then 15-40, 1-3, it was a tough moment. I just trying to keep focus and trying to playing point by point. After that, I play an incredible game at 3-2, his serve. I got the break back. It was a high level. Of course, the match had different moments.
Yeah, I'm super proud of what I did today on court.
Q. Speaking about the Davis Cup, what represent for you personally, for your country, the chance to win this competition?
TOMAS ETCHEVERRY: It's a dream if we can win this competition. I want to win the trophy, of course. I love to play for my country. I love to put in my shoulders the Argentinian shirts, go out and trying to play my best. Of course, playing for my country, for my friends here, we have a good energy, everyone.
Yeah, let's see. Hopefully we can get another victory today and play in the semifinals on Saturday. Yeah, looking forward to trying to play in the semifinals, for sure.
Q. Can you tell us a little bit about the crowd, the fans. You had a lot of support. You thanked them afterwards. How much did they help you?
TOMAS ETCHEVERRY: Well, I didn't expect that. Yeah, a lot of Argentina fans, Italian fans, German fans. The stadium was full today. It's full today. Have the Argentinian support everywhere... This year in Norway when we start the first Davis Cup tie, also we have a lot of support. I don't know why (smiling).
Yeah, I'm super happy to have a lot of Argentinians here. I really enjoy it. It's something special. Argentinian support I think is the best in the world.
