THE MODERATOR: Congratulations, Team Spain. David, first Final for Spain since 2019. Tell us your feelings at the moment.

CAPTAIN DAVID FERRER: I'm really proud, of course, because have been amazing week. I did believe that they could do it. At the end I don't know what I said.

For the moment, we are in the Final. Now is time to enjoy and have dinner. After that, it's important that they rest and be ready for tomorrow because is a great opportunity for them and a great challenge.

I hope that we're going to be ready.

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. It is 28 years that Italy has not beaten Spain in Davis Cup. We won Pesaro '97, Moya... I'd like to know, do you think playing today is a bit of a disadvantage because your players could be a little tired and they have 24 hours less of rest, or doesn't make any difference because they are professional?

CAPTAIN DAVID FERRER: The question is for me or for them?

Q. For you.

CAPTAIN DAVID FERRER: The most important is that we're in the Final. That's the most important. Of course, we're playing in Bologna. It's a home of Italy. They deserve because they won the last two times Davis Cup. We agree with that. We have been playing in Spain last year, the last three years.

We never did Final, so now is time to know that and to accept that tomorrow, in case that we lose, is not because the lose like this, is because maybe Italy deserve to win.

We're going to be ready to fight and to have chance to win.

Q. David, Spain has won against Italy the last three times, the last four out of five times. I know the teams are different. What's happened in the past mentally, does that have any bearing on what happens potentially tomorrow, or whatever's in the past is in the past?

CAPTAIN DAVID FERRER: Doesn't matter. Is the past. The past doesn't count. The count is the moment. Tomorrow is going to be, I don't know, is going to be different.

As you say, the teams are different to the past. Italy, they have amazing, amazing players. Of course, they are without Lorenzo Musetti and Jannik Sinner. It's a good point. But as well we don't have Carlos Alcaraz with us.

We'll see.

Q. David, you talked about Carlos and Jannik not being here. What does it say about both tennis countries that you're still in the Final here?

CAPTAIN DAVID FERRER: I can speak about my country and my players.

Carlos is not here because he was injury. It's a happens of tennis. We know that. We believe that without Carlos we can do a great week. Now we are in the Final.

Yeah, I would like to be focused with my players because tomorrow could be a big, big day for them.

Q. David, the last meeting between Spain and Italy was in 2006. You were on the team. Also Filippo was on the Italian team. What do you think of Filippo now as a coach and captain?

CAPTAIN DAVID FERRER: He's a great captain. He did unbelievable with his team. He wons twice in Davis Cup. He's a great person as well. He's a leader of the group.

For me, Filippo is a good friend. He deserve all the best, but not tomorrow (smiling).

Q. For the players, what was the key for you today in order to beat Tim and Kevin? What do you think you did well today?

MARCEL GRANOLLERS: We had a very strong start. We start playing amazing, especially on return. Yeah, also in the third set we had momentum together. I think we did great on the returns games that we both connect at the same time. It's very important to break.

Yeah, we were very focused on our serves, to do the right things. Yeah, it worked today.

PEDRO MARTINEZ: They have a really strong double. We play very good since the beginning, especially the first games of the match. Then their level was little bit up. The energy of us went a little bit down in the second set. Then at the end of the match we went up again. We ending playing a really good tennis. That was the thing.
