THE MODERATOR: Captain, how does it feel to win in front of your home crowd?

CAPTAIN FILIPPO VOLANDRI: It's amazing feeling. Yeah, Lorenzo learn me to say 'amazing'. 'Unbelievable', too. It's really amazing sensation. Yeah, we won three Davis Cup, but this one is completely different in front of our crowd, in our country.

Yeah, from my side, I didn't cry for the first two, but I cried for this one because it means a lot for me. I have to only say thanks to these guys. They amazing, the effort. This unbelievable trophy. I'm so proud. We all have to be proud of these guys.

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Flavio, how did you win that match? You were behind for almost two full sets. What changed that allowed you to get up with the win? What did it feel like when that point was played?

FLAVIO COBOLLI: No, I think I was a little bit nervous at the beginning of the match. It means a lot this trophy for me. I was a little bit tight.

But at the end I tried to play my game, take energy from the bench, from the crowd. I tried to stay positive also at the beginning of the second set, but it's not easy to play these kind of match.

Yeah, at the end I'm really happy because I play my best tennis on the crucial moment.

CAPTAIN FILIPPO VOLANDRI: And this is the best day of my life (smiling).

FLAVIO COBOLLI: And this is the best day of my life (laughter).

Q. Matteo, what was it like watching Flavio?

MATTEO BERRETTINI: It was stressful. Was stressful because I was elected for, like everyone else, doping. After my match, I had to do what I had to do. I was, Okay, I'm going to lose the first 20 minutes. The first 20 minutes was the first set.

Lorenzo actually texted me, Come here, we need you.

We started screaming as loud as we could. I think that's the strength, the weapon that we have. We are so together. We play together. Doesn't matter who's playing. We're playing in five every time, and six with the captain.

It was a team effort even though we played just two singles. That's why it feels special.

Q. Captain, you won titles as a tennis player. Now you have three titles.

CAPTAIN FILIPPO VOLANDRI: You say I have more titles for Davis Cup than singles (laughter)?

Q. I wanted to ask you if you can tell me what's the difference between winning as a tennis player and as a captain? Are you aware you are going to be in history of this Cup as the captain with three Davis Cups?

CAPTAIN FILIPPO VOLANDRI: I don't know. Starting from the end, I do my job every day. I do my job every year. So let's see what's going on in the future.

As I'm said, as I've said, I'm really proud about our job. These five players, one captain. There's a lot of people behind us who pushing us, who help us to do our job, especially the coaches that are working with them every single day. I do my part.

From the other side, it's totally different to be a player or a captain. The responsibilities are completely different. Here I have the responsibility first of all about these guys, then the nation. I'm working for the Federation who believed in me 10 years ago already.

Yes, something totally different. I've been a player. Maybe I've been a good player, but not comparing with those guys.

Q. Matteo, your captain spoke about how different this one feels to the others. Can you talk about that. Being at home, not having Jannik here...

MATTEO BERRETTINI: I mean, I feel like every year is different for different reasons. First time I watch it from outside. I couldn't touch it and lift it. I used that kind of energy to come back and win it last year.

This year I used the motivation to play here in Bologna during the summer when I wasn't feeling my best. I have to say the Captain, the Federation, Umberto Rianna, who is not here but is a big part of this team, helped me and always gave me the confidence to tell me if I was fit, I would have been considered, which I don't give it for granted.

It's a special feeling. I have to say that we have such a long team, a lot of players that could have played. These guys that played another unbelievable season in doubles.

Again, I'm going to say the team is really strong because the connection is really strong between us. We know each other since a long time. It's just too nice to play with them.

Q. Captain, both nations reached the Final without the best two players, according to the rankings. I would like to know if that speaks about the strength of both nations in tennis.

CAPTAIN FILIPPO VOLANDRI: No, what I said the one week before the competition started. I didn't want to talk about who was not here. I'm just talking about who's here. I'm talking about these unbelievable guys.

You can have No. 1 in the world or not. What's make the different? As Matteo said, it's the connection with everybody. We have a great connection. We have a great players. Some players, like Darderi, 26 in the world, is not here. They all deserve to be part of the team. I only can bring five players.

Still I'm just thinking about these guys that made again something unbelievable.

Q. Flavio, what was the challenge like of coming back from the amazing emotions of two days ago?

FLAVIO COBOLLI: It's something different for me to play on this team, for these guys. I try to play for them, not only for me.

Also when the match wasn't on my part, my way, at the end I think every point about the team, not only for me. I think this was the key to make the different on this match.
