Q. I know you guys just played about a month ago, totally different conditions. Was there anything she did tonight differently that surprised you or maybe was different than the last time you guys played?
MADISON KEYS: I mean, I think this court suits her a lot. Obviously much slower than when we played in Mexico, but, I mean, I think she played a really, really good match. She didn't have very many unforced errors. She served really well.
She just kept making me play another ball, another ball. I think she really raised her level compared to when I played her a few weeks ago.
Q. You had a lot of time to watch Danielle. Did you get a feel for what the court was playing like before you went out there?
MADISON KEYS: I got to hit on it once, so I had a decent idea about it, but obviously it's always a little different once you get out there and you're actually competing on it, but, I mean, it's same situation for everyone.
Q. I know more specifically it's your first time playing Billie Jean King Cup, but putting this behind you and moving forward for the rest of the week, what are you hoping to take out of the rest of the week?
MADISON KEYS: I mean, I think at this point I think it's just all about trying to do the best for my team and trying to fight. I fought as best as I could today and I'm going to continue to do that. You know, I'm also going to be out there and cheering on my team and just being the supportive team member that I can be.
