L. SONEGO/F. Tiafoe
2-6, 6-2, 6-3
Q. Congratulations. That's a really great win for you. How do you sum it all up?
LORENZO SONEGO: I think just playing unbelievable today. Yeah, I think one of my best performances on tour. I'm really happy for that.
Q. You must be especially happy. You had a tough loss in Beijing, it was a 6-Love final set, but you must be happy with the way you've turned it around this week.
LORENZO SONEGO: Yeah, but I was in confidence. Last week I was not lucky. I had some problems in my neck. Yeah, I tried to do my best this week and, yeah, I'm really proud of myself.
Q. Your goals for this year, do you feel like you're sort of on track to achieve your goals that you set for yourself this year?
LORENZO SONEGO: I try to do my best. I have time. We are 15th in the world, and it's not bad. Yeah, I want to just improve my tennis every day. I changed something on my serve, and I try to do my best for the season, for the finale.
Q. Yesterday there was a rain delay. Was that frustrating or did it help you in the end to sort of reset?
LORENZO SONEGO: Oh, I was focused. I played an amazing second set yesterday. I tried to recharge my energy for today. Yeah, my performance was really good.
Q. Is it any more satisfying when you sort of, you drop the first set, so you, obviously it's a really come-from-behind win, is there more satisfaction in that sort of win?
LORENZO SONEGO: That was frustration for the first set. I tried to put more energy and more good vibes and change my mood for to win this match.
Q. Nicolas Jarry next. What are your thoughts on that one?
LORENZO SONEGO: Jarry?
Q. Is it Jarry up next?
LORENZO SONEGO: Yeah, we make a battle in Davis Cup. Yeah, he want to take the revenge. He's a nice guy and, yeah, I want to put the same energy and, yeah, we'll see.
