U. HUMBERT/J.J. Wolf
6-1, 6-2
Q. Congratulations. This has turned into such a great tournament for you, you must be very pleased.
UGO HUMBERT: Yeah, yeah, I'm very proud. I played three good matches here and, yeah, for sure it's a great feeling to be back in the quarters of a Masters 1000, so, yeah, I'm super happy.
Q. Today's match was very different to your previous match, you played three sets and a long match, and then today was very quick. Do you have a preference on what type of match you would like to play?
UGO HUMBERT: (Laughing). For sure I prefer the second option (laughing). No, but since the beginning of the China tour I played only matches in three sets. Yeah, it's great to have only one hour on court today, so, yeah, it's a good result.
Q. One of those three-set matches was against Andrey Rublev, who could be your next opponent. Any thoughts on going into that?
UGO HUMBERT: Who is playing? Rublev against...
Q. Paul. Tommy Paul.
UGO HUMBERT: Tommy Paul, yeah. I don't have any preference. They played good, both, so should be not easy, for sure.
Q. What's clicking for you at the moment? You've had some really good wins over sort of bigger-name opponents.
UGO HUMBERT: Yeah, yeah. Since Davis Cup I played great tennis, so I feel a lot of confidence. I try to bring this on court, that's why I think I play good.
Q. You obviously enjoy playing in China.
UGO HUMBERT: Yeah, I love it. My first time here. I really like the facility, so I feel really comfortable right now.
