F. AUGER-ALIASSIME/P. Carreno Busta
6-3, 4-6, 6-1
Q. It looked to be a good day on serve, 80 percent of first serve points, almost 60 on second serve points. How did you feel?
FELIX AUGER-ALIASSIME: No, a great day on serve. Great day overall, actually, returning well as well. Broke him, what, four times in a match? Had chances in the second set as well to come back from a break down, even to break first the first game.
So, overall, great tennis, great match. Yeah, a fun way to go through.
Q. What did you expect tactically from the match going in, and was the reality any different to what you expected?
FELIX AUGER-ALIASSIME: No, it's quite similar. He has a good forehand down the line, he can hurt you with that. Obviously he can serve, he's not like, that's not his biggest weapon, but he can sometimes serve well.
Overall, it was to not give him any rhythm. I think that was the last message from the coach was just to try to step in, try to dictate the rallies from the first shots, and not get into too many rallies where we just follow the same patterns.
Q. Looking ahead to the next one against Casper, you're on a four-match win streak, I believe, a few of those have been on clay, of course. What are you expecting out of that match?
FELIX AUGER-ALIASSIME: Yeah, on clay we play maybe similar style, you know, run around, hit forehands.
On hard court, it's a bit different. We have had our fair share of matches also on hard courts, Turin as well.
So, let's see. I expect a tough one. He's one of those guys, when he's locked in, he barely misses, and can hit huge off the forehand, so it's going to be a good matchup.
