Q. Can you give us your thoughts on the match and what made the difference today.
WANG XIYU: Sorry?
Q. Your thoughts on the match and what made the difference today.
WANG XIYU: About singles?
Q. Yes.
WANG XIYU: Well, she's really, really top players. We had a few competitions before, and also doubles. I know she's really aggressive player.
Well, I think today I couldn't - how to say - hold the intensity. She did really well. I need to improve. I hope if we can have next time, I hope I can play better.
Q. What was it like for you today getting to play in front of the fans in that environment?
WANG XIYU: Well, I saw a lot Chinese fans here. Everybody's very warm welcome here. I was very happy to see a lot people supporting us.
Well, it's extremely strength for us. The results for today wasn't the best, but I feel the energy.
Q. Can you give us your thoughts on what your overall experience has been at the China Open, the improvements, nice facilities?
WANG XIYU: Well, every year I feel China Open is better and better. It's more space and more good facility for us to practice. I feel more and more comfortable every years.
It's always very excited to start China Open and China season from here. I think I tried my best. I hope next time I can play better, yeah.

Q. Did you receive any gifts or messages that were encouraging to you? And your relationship with your coach, any comments on that?
WANG XIYU: I think Chinese fans are so lovely. They always give me surprises. They give me pictures of me when I was a little kid. I thought those pictures are really touching and they're really passionate. Even I wasn't playing very well, they are cheering for me.
With my coach, I have learned a lot. It makes me more determined on court.

WANG XIYU: I think a lot of technical details. I was receiving a lot of instructions, how to actually execute the strategies on court, to diversify my toolbox to be a more comprehensive player. That is what I have learned from my coach.
Q. Regarding the China Open this time, any lessons you have learned? For the Chinese season overall, what are your expectations?
WANG XIYU: For the singles in the China Open, there was a small breakthrough for me, which was positive, gave me confidence. I was able to compete against top-30 players. I was able to perform at that intensity. I thought that was a really good start.
Then I would have more opportunities to play top players in the China season. It's good experience for me. I hope that in the future tournaments, I would like to accumulate experience by playing top players. I would cherish these opportunities and also would love to learn more from these experiences.
