THE MODERATOR: Welcome to the press conference of Amanda Anisimova. Questions in English.
Q. How have you been finding this season after the break that you had? Has it been as you thought it was going to be? Were you thinking it would be better or more difficult? We're at the end of the year, just your overall feeling.
AMANDA ANISIMOVA: Well, I like playing on hard courts, so I always enjoy the final push of the season, playing on hard courts. It's always fun to come back to Asia. I haven't been in a couple years, so I was looking forward to this trip.
But yeah, I mean, it's been a long year. Obviously I'm a bit tired. I'm just trying to enjoy the last couple of weeks and push my body through it.
Yeah, I think I've been doing a good job so far.
Q. At this time, do you have a light at the end of the tunnel? What are your vacation plans? Have you started making those decisions?
AMANDA ANISIMOVA: A little bit, yes. I started to plan what I want to do. I'm looking forward to that. I know that I'm going to get a break at the end.
But I'm really trying to get the most out of myself that I can in the next couple of weeks, just really try and find my game. I think that I've been playing pretty good, but I think I can do better. I hope that I can improve as the tournament goes on.
Q. Anywhere special or just at home?
AMANDA ANISIMOVA: I might start with Tokyo for a couple days, then I'll see from there.
Q. In terms of game, what do you think you want to get better? What is the area of improvement you see right now?
AMANDA ANISIMOVA: I think overall my aggressive game style, I've been doing a good job of that. I'm always trying to improve on that aspect, try to come into the net more right now. Then just small things. I think my serve was pretty good today. I was serving faster than I normally do. That's been a big goal of mine. Just small things like that.
THE MODERATOR: Questions in Chinese.
Q. You were in the China Open in the top 16. What are your goals for the Wuhan Open? As well as next year, do you have any plans?
AMANDA ANISIMOVA: I mean, I want to go as far as I can. Hopefully I can win this tournament. But I'm taking it one match at a time and trying to improve little by little with each match that I play.
In Australia the next season? Yeah, I mean, I'm going to have a good pre season hopefully. I'm going to spend some time working on things, hopefully start the year off strong. I've improved my ranking overall this year, so I'm really happy about that.
Q. In the China you have many fans. You also have an account on Weibo. Anything you would like to say to Chinese fans?
AMANDA ANISIMOVA: Yeah, for sure I love playing here and the fans are always so cute. I think it's one of the only places where I always receive small gifts. I love seeing the fans and how happy they are to see all of us. It's always nice coming here. I always feel the support.
Yeah, I really enjoy playing in front of the crowds here.
