J. SINNER/G. Mager

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. I don't know if you're ready to look ahead to your third round, but I have a question about your opponent who will be Ymer, a player that you have faced twice in the past, once at NextGen and once in Montpellier. I wonder if you have any thoughts about what makes him a good player, what made him tricky for you in Montpellier and maybe a little bit about his game?

JANNIK SINNER: Well, obviously it's going to be on different surface, first of all. We played twice on hard court indoor.

You know, the first round he won in five sets. Today he won against Monfils. I think beating Monfils here is very, very difficult. You know, for sure he is a very consistent player, a very, very solid player, and, you know, moving very well.

So, you know, beating him is for sure not easy, and I'm very looking forward to play against him. The last time I have lost against him, so it's going to be a tough one, for sure. I'm very looking forward to see what I improved, what he improved, how the level will be. Then we will see what's happening.

Q. I saw an interview of Piatti highlighting the fact you practice with a lot of tough players in the early stages of your career, like Roger, like Rafa, like Sharapova. How do those experience help you to become the player you are today?

JANNIK SINNER: Well, obviously, you know, practicing with those kind of players and persons and sportsmen, obviously it makes you grow. You know, I have been very, very lucky that I had the chance to practice with Rafa for two weeks and some tournaments practicing with Novak.

Then I had the pleasure to know Maria a little bit more. We practice sometimes together and knowing her personality as well. It's great. And especially for a guy who is 19 years old, and when Maria was there I was 18, you know, it makes you grow obviously a little bit faster, I would say.

Obviously very, very happy and honored that I had the chance to meet them and sometimes to play with them as well, which makes things obviously more fun and enjoyable.

Q. Saving match points in your first-round match, I know it wasn't the type of match you ideally like to have in the first round, but now that it's behind you, do you think it's something that can give you a little bit of a mental boost and feel a little bit more free as you proceed?

JANNIK SINNER: Well, obviously, you know, when you are one point, if I have lost that one point I would be already at home, it makes things a little bit different in way. In the other way, you know, I am still here. Today I think the level of tennis growed from the first round and now to the second round.

"Mental boost," it's a big word, but it can give you, for sure. You know, but I am here. I am here to play the third round, and I'm not thinking anymore back. I'm here and I'm trying to keep my level up, trying to improve day after day, and then we will see what's happening against Ymer in the third round.
