THE MODERATOR: On the court you win, but everything else tonight, can you explain maybe what, why?
IRINA-CAMELIA BEGU: Well, it's an embarrassing moment for me, so I don't want to talk too much about it. I just want to apologize. My whole career I didn't do something like this, and I feel really bad and sorry. So I'm just going to say again, sorry for the incident and, yeah, it was just an embarrassing moment for me.
Q. What were you feeling, if you were unsure, did you think you were going to get defaulted? How you were you feeling when the umpire was having those conversations? Just because it might have been quite un-nerving for you.
IRINA-CAMELIA BEGU: Yeah, I just, as I said, it was a difficult moment because I didn't want to hit that racquet, you know. It was -- you know, you hit the clay with the racquet, but you never expect to fly that much. It was, as I said, embarrassing moment for me and I just want to end it and not talk about it and apologizing again.
Q. What did the umpire or the supervisor say to you about the incident?
IRINA-CAMELIA BEGU: Again, can we move on? Because I will answer the same thing. I'm just saying I'm sorry and that's it.
Q. Do you know much, if anything, about your next opponent? She's No. 200 in the world. She hadn't played the tour-level much before Roland Garros. What do you know about her, if anything?
IRINA-CAMELIA BEGU: To be honest, I don't know who I am playing against because I had to play doubles as well. So after the singles I didn't have too much time to look and to see against who. I know it was Pliskova and against Jeanjean, the French woman.
Q. She won.
IRINA-CAMELIA BEGU: Yeah, for sure it doesn't matter the ranking. So it will be a difficult match, for sure. I'm playing against the French crowd. That's always difficult. But it's the third round and I'm expecting a difficult one, so I will be ready and I will try to play my best.
Q. How did you find going into your doubles match? How did you kind of reset, I guess, just kind of from a mental perspective, I guess?
IRINA-CAMELIA BEGU: It's still difficult because, as I said, it was a difficult moment mentally, but, you know, I have to get through. And, you know, it was good that I had to play doubles. Like I said, I didn't have so much time to think about it. So, yeah, that's it.
