Royals 4, Yankees 2
Q. In that fourth inning there, to be able to get it started for you guys with the home run, you let out a little bit of emotion. You kind of admired it a little bit. How did that feel to hit that and spark the offense today?
SALVADOR PEREZ: Pretty good. Every time I do something to help my team to win, it feels amazing. We tie the game, we're in position, and just get excited a little bit too much.
Q. You touched on this a little before the game. What is it about Rodón? Do you see the ball particularly well coming out of his hands?
SALVADOR PEREZ: It's 50/50, that's what I said before the game. I think he tries to do his job, I try to do my job. I think he leave a pitch up in the middle and I hit it pretty good.
Q. At one point it looked like you got hit in the hand. You were shaking off --
SALVADOR PEREZ: Me or him?
Q. You.
SALVADOR PEREZ: Soto hit me on the back swing. But I'm good. Don't worry about it; we're good.
Q. What did you see from Cole Ragans tonight, and did it look to you like his velocity was tailing off in the fourth inning?
SALVADOR PEREZ: Yeah, in the fourth inning he lose the command a little bit. It's no excuse, three minutes or 15 or 10 seconds between innings plus the God Bless America in that inning, kind of longer for him a little bit, so I think he got caught up a little bit. But then he got out of that inning pretty good. That was key coming from the bullpen.
