Q. Ben, when did you find out that you've been added to the roster?
BEN LIVELY: This morning when I got up. Tried to have a plan and get here and get ready and make sure the paperwork went through, and it's all clear.
Q. I know obviously you don't like to make it with another guy getting hurt, but how are you feeling overall about it?
BEN LIVELY: I mean I was on standby anyways. I know we have a plan, and now it's my time to go execute the plan.
Q. Since you haven't pitched in a postseason game yet this year, can you walk us through just how you've tried to stay ready so that if you're added to the roster and you're put into the game, it's as smooth as possible for you?
BEN LIVELY: I'm just staying on the same workout program as I was when I was starting, workout day, heavy bullpen day mixed in between, and just try to stay built up.
Q. You were so reliable, durable this year. How did you deal with not being on the roster the first couple rounds? Did you understand it? Was it tough?
BEN LIVELY: Of course I understand it. Yeah, it was tough. I pushed myself pretty hard this year just to get the first time getting this opportunity to be in the playoffs, and yeah, it's done, but I'm going to use it.
Q. Not being on the roster, did you have family and friends traveling to New York for these games, or did they come in today?
BEN LIVELY: My girlfriend's been with me. We got her, and the family's on standby. They'll probably make some moves here quickly or something.
Q. They're coming today or meet up in Cleveland?
BEN LIVELY: They'll probably come to Cleveland or something.
