Quick Quotes

Q. Unusual round of golf, 4-under par through seven, appeared to be cruising, and then a triple-bogey 6 the par 3 8th, and you bounced back with 5-under for the next five holes. How did you gather yourself after that triple and go on so well?

SEBASTIAN SÖDERBERG: I'm happy I did because it could have gone either way I felt like. I just try to remind myself of that. I was playing well. I shouldn't be in that position left of that flag. I've been struggling a little bit with the lag putts, a steep uphill and then down.

Apart from that blunder, it was a pretty good day, and I think it was very important to make birdie on the next and just try to gather myself and get some momentum back.

Q. You haven't competed for a couple of months but you've come out and made 14 birdies and three eagles around in three rounds. What have you done in your practice and preparation that's made you sharp at the beginning of the season?

SEBASTIAN SÖDERBERG: I spent four or five weeks in Thailand at Black Mountain. Yeah, it's been good for the game. Just been playing a lot. I think I've played 14 out of the last 15 days before I came here.

Just a little more balanced than before. I feel like every off-season, it's either a lot of work in the gym trying to build up again or it's a very technical phase, and I felt like this winter, I tried to focus on just keep going from the previous season a little bit.

It obviously worked a little bit on both physique and technique but still worked on trying to score right off the bat and not get stuck in some process.
