Quick Quotes

Q. A lot of fun watching you shoot that 62, especially those first six holes. How do you digest today's third round?

THOMAS DETRY: It's been a tale of three different days, I want to say. Finished horrendously on Thursday. Played much better yesterday, and today was just kind of everything clicked together.

I just played really well. Didn't really miss any drivers. Pretty wide fairways out here, but I kept myself in position the whole round and obviously made a couple of great putts on my first few holes to get the momentum going and I kept going.

Q. Runner-up in Houston, top five in Valhalla. This has to be up there.

THOMAS DETRY: Yeah, those Playoffs, unfortunately I haven't been able to play that much on the DP Tour this year, and it's been amazing to qualify for this week. And I really want to try to qualify for next week, as well. I've given myself a last final good chance tomorrow to make it, a final go to Dubai, and hopefully I can play my best golf again and be there next week.

Q. How is the course playing compared to Thursday and Friday? We were waiting for the powers to be to make it really tough, but your 62 has put that to bed.

THOMAS DETRY: You can see that they are trying to make it tough with some pin positions, a few very tricky pins out there. But there's no wind and the greens are rolling as good as I've ever seen them. The fairways are firm and fast. There's no wind. It's hot. Ball flies forever. So I mean, that's what we do for a living, so we've got to be good at something.

Q. It's moving day and you've done just that. What are you thinking about for this week?

THOMAS DETRY: Kind of what I pretty much did today. I think getting off to a good start out here is key. You can easily get through five, six holes, seven holes. If you can be 3-, 4-under, put yourself that good position going through those, then the middle of the round, and especially the final couple of holes are a bit tough. It's tough to make birdies and eagles on the last three or four holes. If you can be low, deep, in the early in the round, that would be nice.
