Q. A broken driver in the buildup to this tournament, but you've gone on to make 26 birdies and 11 dropped shots for 11-under. Give us your reflections on the week as a whole.
EUGENIO CHACARRA: Obviously didn't start the week like I wanted with losing my driver, but drove the ball amazing the last two days and still made so many mistakes. I just started making bogeys. Made a triple after a great start. Trickles off the green; easiest up-and-down for the best players of the world, and I get out with a six. A lot of little mistakes that got me out of being up there, like you said.
My good was really good. I got a lot of birdies and hit really good long shots and made some good putts, but obviously I need to sharpen my short game and my wedges because making bogeys and doubles from the middle of the fairway and not getting up-and-down -- I don't think I got a ball up-and-down all week. It's a little frustrating because it's something we've been working on.
Obviously changing to the 60 degree didn't work this week but something we need to focus on next week, and that's what will be our emphasis Monday to Wednesday to figure out how to chip on this grass and how to do it a little better because it's been pretty poor.
Q. If Rory wins today, you'll lose your lead in The Race to Dubai, and if he doesn't, you'll retain it going into the final event. Do you feel you can get your game and your mind in a place to seize that opportunity to be the Tour's No. 1?
EUGENIO CHACARRA: Well, it's hard. He's the No. 2 player in the world and the No. 1 in Europe, and he's been doing it for a long time and he plays really good out in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. He has played that course a million times, and I only played it once.
Either way, it's going to be tough. Obviously I'm from Spain. I'm rooting for Jon. Hopefully he can get it done and will help me towards next week.
But even if he doesn't win, he's going to be up there, and we are going to battle on next week. Obviously the odds are on him and he's the favourite. But we'll play golf. We know what I'm capable of when I am playing good. There was a lot of good this week, but I just need to sharpen the bat to have a chance next week.
