Q. 68 your opening round. Disappointed, I'm sure, to bogey the last, but overall pleased with how you played today?
ADRIAN MERONK: Probably my course management. I wasn't hitting my best all day. So I just try to hit as many greens as possible and make putts, which I did. So I'm pretty happy with the end result. A little disappointed but it's okay.
Q. Tied for 10th last week. Players often tell me the first week out is a good indication of where they need to work and whether their game is good enough. Is that the case for you?
ADRIAN MERONK: Yeah, it was. To be honest this week doesn't really feel what I want it to be yet. So going to have to keep working and hopefully it's going to get better as the week goes on.
But yeah, it's always nice to start kind of stress-free just to see what your game is and if you're rusty or not but I definitely enjoyed last week, yeah.
Q. Player of the Year last year, an incredible that's been bestowed on you. Despite that, you told me you tried to make a little change in your golf swing and started to hurt your back, and you said, right, leave that alone. Can you now work on your physicality to make yourself more flexible?
ADRIAN MERONK: Yeah, I think we rushed with the swing change a little bit. Yeah, my lower back is aching, so I think I'm going to take it slowly. Increase my flexibility and stretch the hips, see what's possible.
