Q. You started the round with a three-shot lead, ended up with a two-shot lead after a round of 71. Give us your thoughts on your play today?
CAMERON YOUNG: I feel like I really played okay. The front nine, especially, is kind of one of those days when a few things don't quite go your way. I didn't putt quite as well as I have the last few days, and with a little bit more wind, it wasn't that easy. I think all in all, it was a good battle. And not obviously trying to be winning by ten after today, but two is better than none.
Q. At the time you were making a couple of mistakes on 7 and 8, Rory just posted 63. Were you aware of that?
CAMERON YOUNG: I saw it. Yeah, I kind of assumed, I think I was talking to my dad before we went out and played that I put the over/under about 64 1/2. I guess it was on the underside of that.
But yeah, someone like him, I feel like you expect him to do that. Figured he wasn't going to be 30th for long.
Q. Thoughts in your position in the championship now. You're a couple ahead of two of Europe's finest in Meronk and McIlroy. Thoughts about tomorrow?
CAMERON YOUNG: I think it will be fun. They are both very good players, and it's a good golf course. So I've played well this week and I'm looking forward to tomorrow and seeing what I can do.
Q. You've yet to win on a major tour. Obviously a couple times on the Korn Ferry. What would it mean tomorrow to come out on top in this iconic championship having been runner-up six times and come so close?
CAMERON YOUNG: Yeah, it's one of those, obviously it's been probably since those Korn Ferry Tour wins since I've won anything at all. It would be a nice feeling. It's one of those times that you feel like kind of at peace with what you've done, and it's something I would love to do tomorrow. But I've put myself in another great place to have a chance, and I'm happy with that. So if I go out and go through the process that we've kind of set up for tomorrow and see what happens, see what happens.
