Q. 73, 66. What changed?
THOMAS PIETERS: Obviously the putter was a lot better today but I drove it better and I hit about four or five fairway bunkers yesterday, and can't score when you have to chip out. Fixed it and today was obviously a great start and I kept really patient.
Gave myself plenty of chances and didn't really get the pace on the back nine on the putter. Pretty disappointed with the five on the last but that's the way it goes.
Q. It's a Beefy course in terms of length. What did you do today to make a 66?
THOMAS PIETERS: Just make the putts. Flags are tucked away. If you don't hit the fairways, either, you can't go at them. It's a mixture of everything. You just have to play good golf.
Q. You haven't played since you won in Portugal, your fifth win. I assume it was a relatively large party. How does the party change as you go through the wins that you've got five wins under your belt?
THOMAS PIETERS: I haven't had one yet, so I thought I'd celebrate it, just because usually you don't. You just move on to the next one. But thought I would have some friends over. It was all COVID regulation, so everybody tested and all that. Yeah, it was a good party.
