Quick Quotes

Q. 4-under through round one, what are your thoughts?

RASMUS HØJGAARD: I think it was pretty good, especially the front nine. I played solid. Gave myself a lot of good chances. Rolled the putter nicely. And then obviously the back nine was a little bit of a grind but I managed to keep it together.

Q. Your third time here at Jumeirah Golf Estates; is this a place where the more you play, the more you learn and the more you get confident?

RASMUS HØJGAARD: I think the more you play, the more you start to actually like the course. I think it's good fun playing this course, and I think this year, it's been a little tougher. The greens seem a little firm and the rough a bit more tricky. I think it's a good setup.

Q. With the rough how it is, how much is there an emphasis on keeping the ball in play off the tee this week?

RASMUS HØJGAARD: It's a massive advantage to keep it straight from the tee. But I think that's how it should be. And fairways out there are still wide enough most of the time. So I think it's pretty fair.

Q. I know you didn't finish off well last week at Nedbank but how nice to see a continuation of form you showed the last couple of months here?

RASMUS HØJGAARD: It's good. I really enjoy playing golf at the moment. I feel like I'm hitting the ball decent most of the time. It's just fun to be able to be in contention here and there. So that's what we play for, so yeah, I really enjoy it.
