Q. 68, 68, 68. How do you feel about your day's work?
LAURIE CANTER: Bit of a tale of two nines. Got off the blocks really well. Felt like I had grail control of the front nine. I've always liked it here. Then the back nine, felt like I hit a cup of decent shots that were just a little short.
To be honest, I'm not over moon about how I played 14 in, really. I felt like I was fighting my swing a bit. In the end, came back in decent pars and hanging about in the tournament.
Q. You played in the final round in 2020 in your debut. Do you feel better now to handle the situation going into tomorrow?
LAURIE CANTER: Yeah, I do. I think since then, I've learned a lot and I learned loads that day. When I finished that day, I had a sense I could compete around this golf course with this field, and that did a lot for me. As a result, I was able to, I think, build from that and that probably led to a couple wins and all the stuff that followed, I think.
To win around here you can't back off. It's a golf course where you know where the pins are going to be and you have to step up and win the shots, and the guy who does that will win the tournament.
