Q. Viktor, describe the intensity and desire you went out with today for this match.
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, I mean, we're meeting two strong guys, No. 1 in the world and five-time major champ, so we tried to not give them anything, and we played really, really solid. Obviously we didn't meet a sharp Scottie and Brooks but we played some really nice golf today.
Q. What level of elation are you feeling right now?
LUDVIG ÅBERG: I don't even know who to say and where to start but obviously unbelievable day. But most important, we enjoyed it. We had fun and felt the crowd support which was really important for us. Looking forward to do it all again this afternoon.
Q. Successful pairing?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah, so far, so good. I don't think we could have done a whole lot better. It's nice to kind of speak our own language and we understand each other. Obviously same humour, same culture. He's a stud. He doesn't miss a shot, so it's easy when I'm playing well and he's playing well and we are just feeding off of each other.
Q. You've pulled off the largest ever victory in history of Ryder Cup foursomes play, 9&7, a performance against two very talented Americans. What's the secret?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: I don't know, obviously we make a strong team. Regardless I think we could have met a lot of guys and we would have been tough to beat today. Obviously Scottie and Brooks weren't on top of their game today and yeah, that's how 9&7 came to be.
Q. The Americans don't seem in form. Nevertheless, this is your first appearance in a Ryder Cup and you've just beaten a World Number One and five-time Major Champion. How much confidence are you gaining from this experience?
LUDVIG ÅBERG: It's an unbelievable time for me to be here to play alongside one of the best players in the world in Viktor and to be playing against other world-class players.
So for me it's unbelievable, but obviously today was quite surreal at times. Almost pinch myself at times but obviously super happy with it and looking forward to this afternoon.
