Q. Official point that seals the deal and a win for Europe in the Ryder Cup. Given what this competition and this week means to you, describe the level of emotions right now and how proud you are of yourself and this team?
TOMMY FLEETWOOD: I really didn't want to come down to one of us at the back but look, I can't wait to see the rest of the guys. I can't wait to see the captain, vice captains, our wives, the rest of our families and the staff. Yeah, just so happened to play a part in. It was a bit bigger than I thought I was going to have when we saw the draw. But just so proud of being part of this team.
We have an amazing group of people. We always do. This year has obviously been different and sort of like the landscape has changed a little bit for Team Europe. Couldn't wish for a better bunch of people to do this with. It's honestly been so amazing, and everybody is so great. We are just one gigantic family, and the bonds we made with everybody will last a lifetime and just to be part of it is a cool experience.
Q. The just the emotions you're feeling right now, it kind of makes you speechless, doesn't it?
TOMMY FLEETWOOD: I'm quite relieved I must say. I was so happy to see that tee shot start off where it did on 16. It wasn't really moving. Yeah, just I think relief, pride, joy. Proud of everybody that's been involved this week and just proud that I'm one of the people that gets to a play role in what we came here to do.
Q. How good a job has Luke done? How well has he led your troops?
TOMMY FLEETWOOD: Luke is amazing. We're all so proud of him, from when this whole process started, he's been so, so good. The way he's been this week has been phenomenal. He's honestly so high up in all of our -- we just look at Luke on another level. He's been amazing, and I'm so happy that we could all get it done for him.
Q. On the first tee with José Maria; how much has Seve been a factor, as he always is?
TOMMY FLEETWOOD: Seve is always a huge part of Team Europe in the Ryder Cup, and he's all been with us every step of the way. Having José here this week, for us in person, José is the spirit of Team Europe, and to have him here has been an absolute joy. The legacy of Team Europe lives on.
Q. What have you got to say to the incredible supporters who lift you every step of the way and so proud to support Team Europe?
TOMMY FLEETWOOD: They are the best. They are the absolute best. Yeah, they brought it every single day and they have carried us on their shoulders. We gave them a lot to cheer about, and when we needed them, they were there and they were noisy and pushed us over the line on numerous occasions this week. You look at the scenes here, we're so happy we're giving them this spectacle because people will remember this for the rest of their lives. To play a part on that and give them something to remember on the right side of history is very, very cool.
