Quick Quotes

PÁDRAIG HARRINGTON: Some of it, nearly had a good finish which was nice. But yeah, overall it was more of the same. Could definitely do with a bit of a spark. You know, some good and some bad out there.

Q. Just give me an overall sense of the test that this course delivers.

PÁDRAIG HARRINGTON: You've got to hit it straight. You don't want to be in the rough, that's for sure. If you're hitting fairways, certainly take a chance at the odd time in the rough to get a good lie.

But if you hit a lot of fairways certainly with the soft greens it provides good opportunities. They are at a nice pace for holing putts. Definitely you can see why guys playing well are making birdies and you can see why you can find some trouble here and there and make some bogeys.

Q. It's obviously been a busy time for you, and big events coming up. Will you get any time off at all in the coming weeks?

PÁDRAIG HARRINGTON: No, I don't have a day off golf in five weeks. Yeah, it's a lot of golf.

Q. What else would you do?

PÁDRAIG HARRINGTON: Exactly.

Q. You had a really good back nine, good energy in the back nine all the way to the last shot. As you're going through working off fumes how has this week unfolded for you?

PÁDRAIG HARRINGTON: You're trying hard and I see some good stuff. Certainly don't feel as -- feel like I'm striking it as well as I did last week. I don't have the energy to go to the range. At times my body is tired and not quite keeping up with my arms in terms of the swing. Lacking a little bit of that pep in my swing.

But you know, I'm also trying to stick to the mental side of it and not get too caught up in my technique. Certainly happy with how I putted this week. There's always positive signs every week.

Q. Playing in front of an Irish Open crowd, and they are rooting for you so hard, and in fairness, you're responding.

PÁDRAIG HARRINGTON: You know, the crowds are great and it certainly helps you. When I was 1-over par there was still a good crowd following me and you want to hit good shots for the crowd, yeah.

I've got to say it is a big help in my situation this week for sure and I could easily just fall by the wayside, I suppose, but with the crowds watching, you kind of want to hit a few good shots and give them something to cheer about.
