Q. Overall an excellent week. How would you summarise it in your own words?
SCOTT JAMIESON: It was an interesting situation. I've obviously not got enough points to be safe for next year, but at the same time still had a chance to within the tournament if I had a good enough round today.
Then I saw when I made the turn that Bobby was having a great day so far. So at that point, I just put the head down and made sure I just keep hitting solid shots and take my chances when I could.
Yeah, thankfully managed to take a few on the back nine.
Q. Ranked 119th in The Race to Dubai, you touched upon it yourself right there trying to retain your card. What was the mindset entering a week like this, obviously playing on home soil, as well, must make it quite special?
SCOTT JAMIESON yeah: It does. I'm really lucky. I played with the same guy every year here, which in itself can help so much. We have a great friendship. He picks me up, and he gets out of the way when he needs to. He makes it comfortable for me, and he's a close friend. So that makes the week way more enjoyable.
But I always say, it's a privilege to come and play these golf courses and to be able to compete on them is pretty cool.
Q. You say that's a friendship that allows it to become a lot more enjoyable but I imagine to a certain extent the scenario makes it quite pressurising. Does it give you the freedom to go out there and play golf, especially on a layout like this where it's links and you need to be a little more creative and reactive?
SCOTT JAMIESON: That in a way probably helped me this week because there's a lot of tee shots, especially here and St Andrews, where if you don't like the shot, there's a bailout. Carnoustie, not so much. But there's options around here.
Yeah, I just had to keep staying assertive and committing to make sure I was hitting the right shot all the time, not a shot that was -- it just had to be the right shot all the time, and whether I was comfortable with it or not, hit the right shot, commit to it and go find it.
