Q. Good round here at the Betfred British Masters. Evaluate for us, if you will, how it was today?
HURLY LONG: Yeah, I mean, I did not get off to a good start. I was hitting it sideways off the tee. Stuck to my guns, kept hitting driver and kept hitting it poorly.
But fought really well. Seemed like nothing was going my way, and somehow -- even though it was 4-over through 12, it seemed like that was still a decent score for how I was doing. And then nice comeback at the end. Nice to make that one on 18. So still in a good spot.
Q. It felt like watching you make the turn, you were just looking for that bit of momentum to kick start your round today.
HURLY LONG: Yeah, exactly. I figured the back nine there was more opportunities, I just need to get through like to 6 to 9, that's a pretty tough stretch if you're not hitting it well off the tee.
So, yeah, I thought I got a little unlucky on 12. This wind just kicked up as I hit. That was not a bad tee shot. But, yeah, then started finding some fairways, and it was better from there. So it was okay in the end.
Q. Well, you found three birdies in the last six, which still keeps you in contention. Do you take some comfort knowing that nobody's completely run away with this yet?
HURLY LONG: Yeah, definitely. I mean, it's hard to tell, but I thought it was out there today to shoot a good one. So I wouldn't say I'm surprised, but, you know, I'm still in the mix. So, yeah, still in it.
