Q. You made a lot of headway this afternoon, tell us about it?
CONNOR SYME: It was so much fun to be honest. Yeah, that's what you practise for to be honest, moments like that. Like obviously was really trying my best to win the tournament. I felt like the putt on the par 3, I didn't hit a good iron shot into that hole at all to be honest but felt like I had to go.
Obviously the way this course is set up, a couple of par 5s towards the end, 18 playing very hard. I still felt like I had a good chance to win if I could salvage it, maybe an eagle or two coming in. Wasn't to be, but I gave it everything to be fair towards the end. It was good fun.
Q. How is the course playing? We were surprised maybe one or two players haven't leaped out there. Scoring seems tougher today.
CONNOR SYME: It's hard, yeah. Sundays are always more difficult, and I think depends, you're going for the yardage book and you think that's where the pin will be, tight on the back right, front left, whatnot. It's set up fair but difficult obviously, and this course demands every part of your game. You need to be straight off the tee to give yourself opportunities to make shots. If they are tight to the sides, you need to be in the fairway to give yourself a few chances for birdie.
Q. Not the first week we've had fans back but what's it like having a big British crowd?
CONNOR SYME: Unreal. Unreal. To be fair, obviously we've had fans back for a while but that's the most we've had, and I think we all have missed it so much to be fair. It's really good. Just gives you good energy coming all right to the finish getting supported. Although not local, it's nice to be supported.
