Q. First of all you've got quite a wet tee shirt on and you stink of champagne. But this must feel incredible. You are the 2024 Betfred British Masters Champion. How incredible does this feel?
NIKLAS NORGAARD: Very, very good. I never thought I was going to be -- I almost didn't cry at my wedding, but yeah, this one is, yeah, since I started playing golf since I was 10, this is what I've been dreaming of. And this scene here is just something; so it means the world.
Q. It's an incredible reception, isn't it, walking up 18, you know it's a difficult tee shot but also seeing all your Danish friends supporting you on this green, and I'm sure you have friends and family watching you from home as well. What are the sacrifices and the time and effort that's taken place for this victory to REALLY unfold?
NIKLAS NORGAARD: Actually it's my mom, my dad, my sister, my wife, they are all sacrificing a lot, and me not being home and me -- helping me become the player I've tried to become has just been a huge help. I was trying not to think too much about it, but in the morning, this morning, I almost threw up in the breakfast, and I was just so nervous. Helped coming out here on the course.
And I made that show on hole 15, I thought, did I give it away there? But very happy how it ended here.
Q. How did you control your nerves out there? Like you said on 15, it was quite unexpected, you've been playing some incredible golf up till now. How did you compose yourself?
NIKLAS NORGAARD: The thing is, I was not that nervous there. I'm just really bad at chipping especially, sometimes. But the important one was the one on 17, that putt there, and there's just been some good putts. And yeah, I try not to think about it too much.
But this hole 18 can get the most of you, and I was just happy to find the fairway. And then it was better here, and then the guys coming into 18 were special.
