Q. Welcome to the Hero Cup, your first competitive start since that win back last year. How much are you looking forward to the week here?
ANTOINE ROZNER: Yeah, really looking forward. It's been a while since I've played some team events. I think the last time was an amateur for the Palmer Cup, six years ago. I'm really looking forward to it. I love team stuff, and can't wait to get it started with the other boys.
Q. What is it about match-play golf that really gets you going?
ANTOINE ROZNER: Match play is a lot different than stroke play. There's so much more strategy going into winning a hole, into halving a hole. You have to be very strategic and don't give any shot away. Always make the putt guy putt for a win or halve or whatever. Never give a hole away.
There is a lot of strategy and I kind of like this. It helps me stay in the moment, stay in the strategy of the hole and I kind of like it.
Q. Looks like you've got the essence of a fantastic team room, a lot of experience, a lot of youth in there as well. How are the dynamics in the team?
ANTOINE ROZNER: It's great. We have got a good mix in the team with experience with Francesco, Alex Noren, guys like that.
We also have a new group of guys, guys that I've known for a while. We grew up together and played on Challenge Tour together. Now that we are all here together, it's pretty fun and cool. Really looking forward to it. We have a good atmosphere in the team room, so yeah, really excited.
Q. And you'll also have friends in the opposing dressing room, and that's what make this is event unique, I suppose. How will those relationship change, do you think during the week?
ANTOINE ROZNER: We won't talk to each other during the week. We are strangers and we don't like each other now, but no, next week, we'll be friends again. We are professional athletes and it's a team event. It's a good event and we all want to show as well to Luke and the other captains that we have our chance to be on that team in Italy.
Yeah, we are all very excited.
Q. I was going to mention, obviously, The Ryder Cup is obviously a big part of this season. How much is this an opportunity for you to putt yourself in that shot window and showcase your talents at the match play stage?
ANTOINE ROZNER: For me personally, there is still a long way to go to be on that team. But I think this is a good way for me to show that I'm good in a team event; that I'm good in match play. At the end of the day, they have to decide between two guys, this could make a big difference.
Again, I'm very motivated. I want to win my matches and bring some points. So yeah, looking forward.
Q. What about your setup for your partners? Have you had those conversations with the captains so far?
ANTOINE ROZNER: Yeah, we know pretty much everything now. So I'm excited. I want to get going. I'm not going to say more but no, I think it will be good and we'll be tough to beat.
