Q. Another point, seemed quite difficult out there. How do you feel about the day?
TOMMY FLEETWOOD: It was a really good match. He I was so excited for Justin. Wanted to play together for a long time so nice to get the opportunity finally. We were just saying, after the first, the second hole, really, we were good. Like it was a really high standard of match, and yeah, we played some great golf. It could have gone either way, and just happy that we got done in the end.
Q. Touch of class towards the end, bunker shot from the fairway on 17, and then an awesome chip at the last. Just talk me through mindsets and how you played such amazing stuff when you needed it.
JUSTIN ROSE: I thought Tommy and I, on the front nine we got back into the match, and we felt really comfortable around the turn. But Fran and Julien hung in there and they played great golf, too. They had a putt on 14 that looked great, and that was to go 2-up and we'd have been 2-down, four to play and that slid by, and if I felt like that gave us an opportunity.
The last four holes, couldn't play them any better. Tommy, the shot he hit into 15, felt like I had to capitalise upon that, that beautiful 6-iron he hit in there.
And then had a chance on 16. These greens are tricky. It was good to have his eyes out there today. He reads the greens amazingly.
And then it was awesome to kind of strike one out of the bunker and give Tommy that 6-footer up the hill on 17, which he buried.
18 was obviously, like in the back of my mind, it has a half lay-up chip, but you still knew you had a good chance to get up-and-down. I didn't want to compound it and make six. It just kind of came out perfect, and it was nice kind of to close out the game.
