Q. 65 third round. Give us an assessment of your day?
GUNNER WIEBE: Really solid. Super disciplined. Played away from pins when I needed to, and when I had some good opportunities, I seemed to take advantage.
But yeah, just super disciplined is all I can really chalk it up to, I guess.
Q. You had 18 birdies in three days here at Le Golf National. What is it about this course that maybe suits your eye?
GUNNER WIEBE: I have no idea. I've been putting well for a couple weeks. I think these greens are a bit tricky to read. I think I've been lucky putting from areas where the reads are a bit more defined. Good putting and some good fortune for sure.
Q. You were outside looking in for a card next year at the start of the week. Do you have a game plan and heading into the next two weeks, as well?
GUNNER WIEBE: Not really, it's been a tough year on course obviously. Results just haven't been what I wanted. I've been hurt for a good portion of the season, which the last couple of weeks have started to feel really good physically. It's nice to feel good and play without having to worry about, is this shot going to Kurt.
So I'm just taking a lot of joy in that. In a perfect world, yeah, you have a great finish and take care of the external stuff for next year, and that would be great. I mean, I love having a job. It's a great thing to have. But I'm very lucky. Like I have a really good support group back at home. I have a wife and daughter who are amazing. No matter what I shot today, I was going to talk to them this afternoon, and my daughter does not care what I shoot. I probably need to learn from her a little bit more.
