Q. In your estimations, how is the course playing today in comparison to the first two rounds?
RORY McILROY: Yeah, the course played pretty similar to the first two days. Not that there was much wind the first two days, but there's even less today. I think the scoring is pretty good. I think people are getting used to the golf course, taking advantage of the holes that they should. I played okay today. I felt like I could have been a lot better. I missed a lot of putts, missed a lot of chances.
The course is playing -- you put the ball in play, you're going to have a lot of chances at birdies.
Q. How are you feeling now about your chances to get that win?
RORY McILROY: Yeah, still quite a bit back, depending on how the guys play the back nine. But I'd imagine that if I shoot a low one tomorrow I could post a score and see what happens. But I'd say I'm probably two shots too far behind to have a realistic chance. But I could go out and shoot a low one tomorrow.
Q. Let me ask you about the party last night. Did you enjoy it?
RORY McILROY: Yeah, it was good fun. To be out there on stage with a living legend in Sachin and just to hear him talk a little bit about his career, that was really enjoyable for me. It was a great turnout. Obviously great music, and obviously DP World put on a great show, so it was nice to be there.
Always nice for an excuse to put on the green jacket every now and then.
Q. Adams was good?
RORY McILROY: Adams was very good, yeah. Yeah, he was.
Q. On the 10th you had a bunker shot which you executed flawlessly. Can you talk me through that shot?
RORY McILROY: 11, I think.
Yeah, I played pretty well. The 11th hole I'd say is the hole I haven't played well at all this week and ended up in the bunker there. I finished the round off pretty well again. Made a couple birdies coming in. Felt like I missed a lot of putts today. I gave myself a lot of chances and felt like I squandered a few. I should probably be a few shots better than I am, but another solid day and hopefully a low one tomorrow and post a score and at least give the guys up ahead something to think about.
