Quick Quotes

Q. You just shot the course record. Unbelievable round. What was working well?

LATANNA STONE: You know, like I said yesterday, I think everything was working well. I was hitting the ball great, putted really well. Putting kind of saved me a little bit today. But just fairways and greens and keeping it simple.

Q. To head into match play knowing you can play well on this course, what kind of confidence does that give you?

LATANNA STONE: Oh, I'm so excited. I'm really pumped for match play. I think that I can play real aggressive in match play, and play even more aggressive than I did. Yeah, I'm excited.

Q. Can we jump back to your first Women's Am, you were 10 years old. What do you remember about that week?

LATANNA STONE: I actually don't -- I don't remember. It was 10 years ago, so it's kind of hard to look back. I just remember being so intimidated and really excited. I felt excited coming in. I felt my heart racing actually driving in today. I was like, man, hope I make the cut.

Q. What do you like in general about match play?

LATANNA STONE: I love how you can just be aggressive and only lose one hole, and you're not going to shoot like a 10 on a hole or something like that. Aggressiveness.

Q. Thinking to your Curtis Cup experience, lots of match play obviously. What can you draw from that and knowing there were a lot of the same players in the field, too?

LATANNA STONE: Just take one hole at a time. I think that's really important not to get ahead of yourself in match play, and just one hole at a time.

Q. What's the game plan the rest of the day?

LATANNA STONE: I'm going to go get Chick-Fil-A, definitely.
