Q. You were down to 5-under, still finished under par. Can you talk a little bit about your round?
SUNGJAE IM: Overall I played really well. I played 5-under but ended up at 2-under. I made a couple of putting mistakes. Basically I planned to shoot under par, so I made the goal.
Q. The greens at Oakmont are famous, or infamous, I guess you would say, for that. Give me your overall opinion on the greens today and what is definitely in the future.
SUNGJAE IM: Most of the greens are very fast and tough. It's undulating, kind of a tricky break as well. It's really hard to check the distance as well. Try to focus on making the distance well.
Q. The rough, everybody talks about the rough. If you stay focused and you stay in, if you're a player here, can you beat that rough when you hit it in there two or three times? Is it something you can get the ball and really advance it?
SUNGJAE IM: Most of the times in the rough it's very hard, so I need to layup. I tried to hit the ball out. That was my main goal. Today it was lucky that I hit many fairways. So that's what helped.
