Q. Jin Young Ko, 2-under 69. Talk us through your round a bit.
JIN YOUNG KO: I had solid round today. I played with like both girls and I have a lot of fans out there, so it was so much fun. The greens are really fast, especially morning time is really fast.
It's going to be more faster than today for tomorrow, of course, so I'm looking forward to it.
Q. Coming into the week you were a favorite because of your ball-striking, hitting a lot of greens. Do you feel as though you have accomplished your goal so far?
JIN YOUNG KO: I think so. Me and my caddie just trying to get the middle of the green every shot, every hole. It's difficult because the green looks wider but the landing area is smaller.
It's has to focus on my ball and my swing. But it was work so far, so I'm happy.
Q. How do you prepare for a day when you know it's going to be this hot?
JIN YOUNG KO: I use an umbrella all the time, but Lexi doesn't using the umbrella. We was asking to Lexi, you never using the umbrella in this sun? And she said no, and especially in Singapore she doesn't use an umbrella, but I did.
I have to use an umbrella all the time with this heat and drink a lot of water and just using the sunglasses, protect my eyes from the sun. That's it.
Q. Can you talk us through the birdie on 16, the par-3?
JIN YOUNG KO: Yes, pin was 155 meters and breeze was into the breeze off the right, so I got 6-iron. I had small control, but hit really good so I made it like to this much. Easy birdie.
Q. I know you weren't playing with her but Annika shot 3-over today. I just wondered her being out here at 51, can you speak to what she's meant to the game in your eyes?
JIN YOUNG KO: Well, I couldn't see her play because she was behind my group, so I wanted to see, but I couldn't.
Well, Annika is Annika, so speechless.
